The PADI IDC course is what teaches you how to teach others. If you’re a Divemaster, you already meet the prerequisites — done deal.
There’s some theory, of course. As an instructor you’ll be expected to answer students’ questions about buoyancy, equalizing, diving techniques, physiological effects on the body, barotrauma, and more. You don’t want your reply to be, “Ehm… I have to check.” We’ll help you learn what it takes to show real professionalism.
Then we dive into workshops — all hands on deck. IDC is a practical course. You’ll learn how to deliver a presentation: what it means, how to make it simple, clear, and effective so your students understand what they need, what they must do, and what they’ve misunderstood. This skill will serve you well beyond diving.
Next we hit the water. You’ll be taught how to train beginner divers in the pool and in open water, how to guide a certified diver toward Advanced level, and how to fine‑tune skills with specialties.
Last but not least, we work on becoming a pro. Teach what brought you here: we’ll practise and review rescue skills and the Divemaster program — trust me, it’s deeply rewarding.
